International meeting of goAML users “goRIGA 2024” will take place in Riga

10.09.2024

Today, for three consecutive days, more than 100 representatives of financial intelligence units from over 50 countries are gathering in Riga to participate in the 9th goAML International User Group meeting goRIGA 2024. The aim of the meeting is to discuss the current possibilities and future developments of the goAML system, as well as to exchange ideas, experience, and solutions on AML/CFT, including sanctions, machine learning and other important issues.

“It is our pleasure to welcome in Riga experts from all over the world all united by a common goal: to harness the power of goAML in the fight against financial crimes. Because goAML is more than just a technological solution – it is a tool we build together. It is only as useful as the collective effort, expertise, and dedication we invest into it. Together, we can shape the future of goAML, ensuring that it continues to be a cornerstone of global AML/CFT efforts. Thank you for being here, for your dedication, and for the invaluable contributions I know you will make over the next three days”, said  Marta Jaksona, Deputy Head of FIU opening the goRIGA event this morning.

Presentations of the most successful solutions in different countries will take place within three days, as well as discussions and workshops, seeking effective ways to co-operate and develop the goAML system. The event is organised by the FIU Latvia in close cooperation with the United Nations Office for Drugs and crime Prevention (UNODC).
